What Face ID Search is
Face ID Search is a reverse face search engine at faceidsearch.com. The site says it converts the face in an uploaded photo into a mathematical vector and compares it against an index of over 50 million faces across 200 platforms, including social networks, dating sites, and public records. It claims results in about 60 seconds with 98.7 percent accuracy, and it lists detailed reports with source links, similarity scores, platform information, and export options, plus a zero-retention policy where uploaded images are deleted after the search. The first scan is free, and later searches use paid credit packages.
What you can do with it
- Upload a photo and search for matching faces
- Review matches with similarity scores and sources
- Check whether a profile photo appears elsewhere
- Export a report for your own records
Who it is for
- Investigators researching public information
- Journalists checking identities in stories
- Users verifying a photo they were sent
What to watch out for
Searching for people without their consent can violate privacy laws, platform rules, and workplace policies, and any legal or personal consequences fall on the user, so only use the tool where you have a clear lawful basis and never to harass, stalk, or target individuals. A match is a lead, not proof: the stated accuracy is a provider claim, similar-looking people exist, and image quality affects results, so verify anything important through other channels before acting. The first scan is free but continued use requires paid credit packages, and prices and terms can change, so confirm the current offer on the official page. The site was returning a redirect rather than a normal page at review time, so access may be unreliable. Because uploads are handled by an external service, review the privacy policy before sending sensitive images, and treat any result as one input among several rather than a conclusion.
FAQ
Is Face ID Search free?
The first scan is free, and later searches use paid credit packages.
How accurate is it?
The site states 98.7 percent accuracy, but that is a provider claim and no match should be treated as certain without verification.
What are the risks?
Searching for people without consent can breach privacy laws and platform rules, and any legal or personal consequences fall on the user, so only use it where you have a lawful basis.
What should I keep in mind?
The site was returning a redirect at review time, so confirm access, and treat results as a lead to verify rather than proof of identity.
