What AI To Cards is
AI To Cards is an AI-powered tool that converts text into Anki flashcards. It uses OpenAI's GPT-3 model to read your pasted text and produce cards suitable for Anki or other memorization software, which removes the manual work of writing each card by hand. The workflow is deliberately short: paste text, click the conversion button, download the generated card file, and import it into Anki to study. Inputs up to 5000 characters are supported, which is enough for a solid chapter or a long set of notes. You get 5 free conversions to start, and a subscription then adds 100 conversion times per month for $5 as described on the site.
What you can do with it
- Convert pasted text into Anki-ready flashcards
- Process inputs up to 5000 characters in one go
- Download a card file you can import directly
- Build review decks from notes, chapters, or articles
Who it is for
- Students using Anki for exams and coursework
- Language learners building vocabulary decks from text
- Anyone memorizing dense reference material
- People who study from long documents and dislike manual card entry
What to watch out for
Five free conversions is a small allowance. It is enough to test whether the card style suits you, but regular study needs the $5 monthly plan, so budget for that from the start. Card quality tracks source quality: clean, well-structured text produces clean cards, while messy notes with abbreviations and half-sentences produce messy cards. The site also explicitly advises against entering sensitive information, since it stores the text you submit along with the generated cards, so do not paste confidential material. Service availability has been inconsistent in our checks, so verify the site before relying on it for a study deadline.
